The Fate of the Ferry

The future of the Alaska Ferry is on the line after the Alaskan government proposed to cut $100 million from the Alaska Marine Highway System’s budget, thus closing the southern terminus located in Bellingham, Washington. This closure would cause a disconnect of Alaska to the lower 48 states, impacting both rural Alaskan communities, and Bellingham itself. "The Fate of the Ferry," follows this story and shows the efforts those have made to keep the ferry in service.
